Without fair payment
So full of myself
Protecting what is mine
Acquiring advantages that serve to benefit me
Without fair payment
Ever being made.
My benefits are gone
My advantages are disadvantages
My world has become stagnant
I cling to what I have
And it has become a malady.
And as I decay and rot
My empire falls
To become a heap of rubble
No longer with purpose
No reason to exist.
Useless and helpless
Losing the things
I sought to protect
All has become
In vain.
Now this pile of wastefulness
Must wait
For the beauty of an other
To sow the seed
Of a new direction.
