Thoughts on the Way

Desire Where achievement begins

Desire

Where achievement begins.

Desire is the starting point of all achievement. Fix your mind on the exact result you want to achieve, define what you are prepared to give in return for the attainment of your objectives and you are ready to get what you want in life. Whether you think you are ready or not you can never be more ready than you are today, so get started on it immediately.

You have already written-out your declaration that establishes your desire to fulfil your goals.

Read your proclamation at every opportunity, at least twice a day. Read it with feeling and see yourself already in possession of your desire. Let your mind become so saturated with the desire for your goal attainment that you act as if you are already in possession of it. This is the strength of belief necessary for the attainment of any definite goal. If you do not see your desire fulfilled in your imagination you will not see it in your life’s achievements.

Success requires no apologies, failure permits no alibis.

 Practical dreamers do not quit.

Burning desire is the first step towards success.

If your mind can conceive it you can achieve it.

Because people find it easy to list the tangible things which they want, they often find it hard to list personality factors their goals might require. I have taken the liberty of listing some of the qualities that are often necessary. Most of them are goals we all need to emphasise. Their development is often gained through a process of evolution.

Concentration. Efficiency. Courage. Self-Assurance. Self- Respect. Perseverance. Success. Honesty.  Organisation. Creativity. Energy. Memory. Emotions. Relaxation. Decisive. Maturity. Foresight. Composure. A genuine interest in people. Planning. Self-Starter. Motivation to others. Self- discipline. Focus. Calm and Cheerful attitude.

Below I have listed a few questions about yourself that you may wish to ponder on.

How long will it take you to achieve your goals?

How long did it take for the present situation to be what it is?

How about your self-image?

Are you secretly afraid of success?

How burdened are you with guilt from your past failures?

Are you constantly making your daily declarations?

Are you really seeing your goals?

Are you prepared to leave yesterday behind and live today?

How much time and effort are you prepared to give to your progress?

If you want this to work you will need to stay focused on your purpose. Don’t over-do things and negate your good work. Stay relaxed and don’t put too much pressure on yourself.
