Thoughts on the Way

Confidence, Control, Power.

Confidence, Control, Power.

How to set sub-conscious time.

I found that in my early days of learning to appreciate the power of my sub-conscious that I, like the many people that I have taught over the years, had a fear of letting go of conscious control, which of course is understandable. After some time of not seeming to be able to progress beyond a certain point, I realised that if I could teach myself how to control the amount of time I wanted to spend in my subconscious that it would give me the confidence to let go of the analytical side of my nature. By having a time limit it gave me acceptable boundaries that I could understand.

Confidence, Control, Power.

In order to fully control the depth and effect of this practice your sub-conscious has to be given very clear directions as to what you want and what you find acceptable.

Using this method to cultivate your desired result.

The first thing to do is to make sure that you are in a comfortable position. Sitting in a comfortable chair, kneeling or even lying down are all suitable. Then set the precise amount of time (start with 10 minutes) that your conscious has available for your sub-conscious to do its work. This is crucial. If you do not fix a time limit your sub-conscious is likely to keep putting off bringing you back to a conscious state. Your inner and outer self must be in harmony. In other words, both must need the same thing. As an example you may wish to be more calm and relaxed and be able to handle the stress of life better. Say the following words audibly:

“In 10 minutes my eyes are open and I am calm, relaxed and completely stress free”

Then let your eyes close.

Now concentrate on your breathing. Breathing in and out slowly and purposefully so that you become nice and relaxed and very calm. Keep your thoughts on maintaining this nice even flow. Now begin repeating slowly and purposefully your desired result. Using our example “I am calm, relaxed and completely stress free”. Keep repeating it over and over whilst maintaining your awareness of your calm even breathing. Your tranquil state of mind and repetition of your focus of desire will charge your required result with the emotion that is necessary for your subconscious to take action. The moment you have any inclination that your time is up, respond. Right or wrong your sub-conscious has to know when it sends through information for the outer self, that, that information is acted upon. Otherwise, if nothing is done, it will stop telling you what you need to know. Open your eyes and say “perfect”. Check the time and do not be too concerned that you are over or under, it is still “perfect”. The more frequently you do this the more accurate your time will be and you will be pleasantly surprised how quickly you can learn sub-conscious time and how soon the focus of your desire becomes reality.

Practice as often as you can so that your efforts are not in vain and you get a better understanding of yourself. But remember that nothing is for nothing. Inner vitality is about cultivating and harnessing that which is within you.
